Aston Villa owner Dr Tony Xia has sanctioned a £12 million move for Fulham striker Ross McCormack which would see them beat Norwich City to the signature of the Scot.
The Mail Online report that Aston Villa have put forward an offer which meets the Cottagers valuation of the striker who scored 21 times last season.
Fulham, who finished 20th in the Championship last season have been holding out for a higher figure for their prized asset and now seemingly the Villans have met the fee.
It is said that Villa are hopeful to complete a move for the striker within the next 24 hours.
McCormack joined Fulham two years ago from Leeds United and has since found the net 42 times in total whilst at Craven Cottage.
The BBC’s Pat Murphy reported this morning how the Midlands side had revived their interest in the forward as they sought to find a goalscorer.
