Aston Villa still interested in Hull striker

Aston Villa are still looking at Hull City striker Abel Hernandez according to reports.

John Percy from the Telegraph says that the Midlands side were looking into the forward, but it could be difficult to do a deal with Hernandez about to play Premier League football with the Tigers.

A move for Hernandez would come as some sort of surprise to some fans after the club confirmed the capturing of Fulham striker Ross McCormack earlier today in a £12 million deal.

Hernandez joined Hull from Palermo in 2014 as they were relegated from the Premier League, but he was instrumental as the Humberside side returned to England’s top flight at the first time of asking.

The 25-year-old scored 21 goals and assisted on two occasions last season as Hull went up through the play-offs. 56% of his shots also ended up on target.

Would a move for Abel Hernandez make Villa’s strike force the best outside the Premier League in England?
