Aston Villa flop nears exit door

Aston Villa flop Jordan Veretout is heading for the exit door and a move back to France according to a report.

Mohamed Bouhafsi, a journalist for Bein Sport in France has said that the midfielder is edging closer to a move to Ligue 1 side AS Saint-Étienne.

Veretout only moved to the Midlands side last summer in a £7 million move from Nantes, but has failed to settle down at Villa Park and only made 25 appearances in Villa’s relegation doomed campaign.

If Veretout was to leave he would be the third midfielder to do so this summer with Idrissa Gana Gueye and Carlos Sanchez already departing from B6.
