Aston Villa have reportedly expressed an interest in the former Birmingham City midfielder Jordan Mutch according to a report.
The Mail Online report that Roberto Di Matteo’s side have shown an interest in the Crystal Palace man alongside Mile Jedinak and Joe Ledley.
He came through the ranks at Birmingham City making his debut at Villa’s local rivals in 2008 but left for Cardiff City in 2012 where he played until 2014 when he moved on to QPR.
After leaving QPR he ended up at Crystal Palace where he remains now.
Mutch only signed for the Eagles last summer but he has failed to settle down as a regular under Alan Pardew, only making 20 appearances last season.
The 24-year-old could prove to be an exciting prospect and has plenty of Championship experience behind him.
It has been rumoured that the club are set to allow Ashley Westwood leave for Premier League side Burnley.
