According to a report from the Birmingham Mail‘s transfer rumour mill this afternoon, Amadou Diawara’s agent has spoken out about his client’s future and has confirmed that there has been an offer on the table from Aston Villa.
Daniele Piraino has claimed that Villa have made a bid for the young Bologna midfielder but that it is now out of his hands – it’s up to Bologna to tie up a deal with Aston Villa if a move is on the cards.
It’s true that there’s an offer from Aston Villa, but it continues to be in Bologna’s hands, I have no say.
The 19-year-old has earned many plaudits in recent times for his excellent displays and, given his ability and maturity at such a young age, plenty of teams have come knocking on Bologna’s door about Diawara.
The report from the Birmingham Mail also claims that the young Guinean midfielder was being courted by Napoli in recent days, who would be assumed to be leading the chase for Diawara given their offer of Champions League football to the youngster.
However, Piraino has confirmed that only Villa have made a bid and they will be hoping that the youngster is persuaded to join the revolution at Villa Park this summer.
