Aston Villa and Hull favourites to sign Kodjia

Aston Villa and Hull City are now favourites to sign Bristol City striker Jonathon Kodjia according to a report.

The Derby Telegraph report how Kodjia, a target for Derby County, could be moving to either Villa Park or the KCOM Stadium before the transfer window slams shut.

It was reported earlier on in the window that the Villans were keen on a move for Kodjia, but reports were quashed after Bristol City’s owner came out defiantly.

Kodjia found the net twenty times last season for the Robins with figures between £10 million and £14 million banded around for the front man.

The Villans owner Dr Tony Xia told the Villa fans on Twitter earlier on in the week how he was closing in on a new striker before the window shuts on Wednesday evening.

Kodjia would be Aston Villa’s most expensive outlay this summer if a deal for around £14 million was to be completed.
