Aston Villa target set for Watford

Apparent Aston Villa target Stefano Okaka is set to join Premier League side Watford from Anderlecht.

It was reported last week by the Mail Online how Aston Villa and Norwich City had an interest in the Italian international but he is set for a move to Watford according to Jim White.

The striker joined Anderlecht last summer from Sampdoria and found the net 15 in 37 appearances.

His time at Fulham was a short stint between 2009/10 as he scored twice in eleven games.

The 27-year-old began his career with Roma and remained there until 2012 when he left for Parma, but subsequently left two years later after only playing 27 minutes of football.

Another Aston Villa target in Hull City striker Abel Hernandez is meanwhile said to be keen on a move to the Midlands side.
