Aston Villa move for Abel Hernandez falls through

Aston Villa have failed in their attempts to sign Hull City striker Abel Hernandez.

Pat Murphy from the BBC says that a move will not happen with personal terms causing a move to fall through for the Uruguayan.

Hernandez had been rumoured to be close to a £14 million plus £6 million in add ons move but now that seemingly is off.

Talk of a move had rumbled on for sometime with owner Dr Tony Xia revealing the £20 millon deal had been knocked back by the Premier League side.

The Uruguayan international has been Hull’s star man since a move from Serie A outfit Palermo in the 2014/15 January window.

He helped seal an immediate return back to the Premier League for Hull with 19 goals last season.

It has been said by Pat Murphy that Aston Villa are closing in a move for Bristol City striker Jonathon Kodjia.
