Jack Grealish to miss Birmingham City game through ban

Jack Grealish is expected to be suspended by the FA for three games this afternoon through retrospective punishment.

The Aston Villa winger seemingly stamped on Wolves midfielder Conor Coady in his side’s 1-1 draw in the Midlands derby on Saturday evening.

Grealish will miss the all important local derby with Birmingham City as well as the games against Reading and Fulham.

Meanwhile, Coady will not face further punishment for a jab into the back of Grealish due to the referee booking him during the incident.

The boyhood Villan will be gutted to miss the chance to play against the club’s long standing rivals from across the city at St Andrews at the end of October.

It isn’t the first time Grealish has got into trouble this season with the midfielder pictured in the tabloids on a night out with his friends a few weeks ago.
