Steve Bruce has suggested that he’ll be looking to ship out at least one, and possibly two, strikers in January as he feels that he has too many forwards in his squad.
Bruce has yet to suffer a defeat since taking over at Aston Villa and the club now sit just four points off the playoffs and with promotion the clear target, the former Manchester United defender has already begun thinking about the transfer window.

Speaking to the BBC’s Radio 5 Live’s Monday Night Club show, the Villa boss was asked about the January window and suggested that exits are more likely than arrivals.
He said:
I think we are a little bit unbalanced. We have got six or seven strikers but are only playing with one, so I think we are unbalanced in that regard. January is always a difficult time to buy but if there is a someone out there who could make a difference to us, then of course I’m in a position where i can act.
Bruce also suggested that he’s more than willing to give his current squad a chance rather than buy players.
I said to the players when I came in, here’s your chance, and if I add to the squad and help them in January then we will do. There’s a few position where I’d like to strengthened but as I said it’s always difficult in January.
