Steve Bruce has made it clear to striker Libor Kozak that he is not in his plans and that the Czech is not in his plans.
The striker arrived at Villa from Lazio in 2013 but a mix of injuries and poor form have led to him only making 20 appearances, in which he’s scored just four goals.
Bruce recently admitted that his squad is very unbalanced and that he’ll need to let some of his forward players go and he’s made it clear that Kozak is one of the forwards who’ll be heading for the exit door.
He told the Birmingham Mail:
Certainly Kozak needs to go and play somewhere. He’s been fit for the last four or five weeks. He scored twice in the under-23s at Stoke on Saturday. To be fair to the boy, he’s just got himself back training and fit. It’s been a disaster and maybe a change of scenery for him is probably inevitable. He needs to go and play football so if we could get a home for him to go and play football, that would probably be good.
In terms of possible destinations, Kozak has been talking in recent days about the bond he has with his former club Lazio so they could certainly be one option but Villa will need to accept that they’ll receive a lower amount in terms of a fee than the €6.5million they forked out to get him.
