Key Midfielder Could Be Allowed To Leave The Club

A shock report in The Mirror on Wednesday claimed that Villa could allow key central midfielder, Mile Jedinak, to leave the club this month.

The Australian international only joined Villa last summer, and since then he has become a regular in the side under both Di Matteo and Steve Bruce. If anything, the 32-year-old has become more important to the side since Bruce took over, emphasised by the fact that last Monday’s 1-0 defeat to Cardiff City is the only league fixture that he has not started since Bruce arrived.

However, despite his regular starts, a report from The Mirror on Wednesday evening included a line that claimed that Jedinak could be allowed to leave Villa Park this month as Bruce is looking to free up space for a January overhaul.

Given the fact that Villa are extremely light when it comes down to experienced and talented center-midfielder, it would be very surprising if Villa were to sell their key man in the middle of the park.
