Aston Villa are interested in Peterborough United winger Marcus Maddison but are yet to make a formal offer for him.
Peterborough’s owner Darragh MacAnthony confirmed via social media that Villa had sent Brian Little to scout the 23-year-old but Barry Fry, their Director of Football says that the Villans have not followed up with a bid.
Speaking to the Peterborough Telegraph, Fry explained that the only bid his club ever received for the winger came from Leeds United last year. He did confirm Villa’s interest in the player but went on to say that no offer has been submitted by Steve Bruce’s side.

Maddison, who can play on either flank or in a central role, has been in good form for Posh this season. He’s scored six goals in 21 league games and has also had 10 assists.
Whether Villa decide to follow up their interest in the former non-league man remains to be seen.
