Villa’s Lansbury move cast in doubt

Villa’s Lansbury move cast in doubt

Aston Villa’s proposed move for Nottingham Forest captain, Henri Lansbury has been cast into doubt following reports about who is representing the midfielder.

According to the Mirror, 30-year-old Rotherham striker, Dexter Blackstock is representing the player and negotiating the deal between the linked clubs, which would break FA regulations.

Players are unable to act as agents and must be licensed with the FA in order to sign off a transfer.

It is being reported that the clubs interested in the midfielder are well aware of the striker’s involvement, but it is believed to have put one Premier League club off doing a deal.

Lansbury does indeed have an official agent in the form of Simon Kennedy so a deal to see him leave Forest can still go through.

The midfielder has been linked with a £4 million move away from the club and his preferred destination is believed to be Aston Villa as they adjust to life in the Championship.
