According to reports coming out of Belgium, Aston Villa are interested in signing defender Bruno Godeau from the Belgian side KV Oostende.
The report claims that Villa have been impressed with his performances this season, and are hopeful of bringing him to Villa Park this month.
Godeau, a 24-year-old center-back, only joined Oostende a year ago, but his performances have been attracting interest. The former Anderlecht and MTK Budapest youngster joined the club from Zulte Waregem in February last year, and he has steadily made his way into first-team this season. He has played 10 games for the Belgian top-flight side and they currently sit 4th in the table.
Despite this great form, if he were to arrive at Villa Park this month it would be something of a surprise. This is the first time that he has shown consistent form at a club and Villa already have good center-defensive options with Nathan Baker, James Chester and Tommy Elphick.
