According to The Birmingham Mail, Jordan Amavi is set to turn down a big money move to France.
Amavi has been attracting plenty of attention this transfer window and, just weeks after there was talks of a speculative £25 million move to China, he is now being linked with a move to Ligue 1 side Marseille.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Marseille, who sit sixth in the table in Ligue 1, have already been in contact with his representatives over a move to the Stade Velodrome. They even go on to claim that Marseille have already prepared a contract for him to sign.
However, it seems that the French U21 international would prefer to stay at Villa until at least the end of the season so that he can try to help them earn promotion. Considering Villa’s current lack of options at left-back it is imperative that they keep hold of Amavi for the time being.
