According to the Birmingham Mail, there are several Championship sides who are prepared to offer Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack a way out of his Villa Park nightmare.
The striker was recently shamed by Steve Bruce as he revealed that McCormack had not be included in the squad for the match against Preston because he had been skipping training – using broken electronic gates as his lame excuse.
As a result, he has been disciplined by the club and is currently training with the development squad.
One club who are reportedly interested in signing McCormack are Sheffield Wednesday, who they see as an alternative to Middlesbrough striker Jordan Rhodes.
Another club is Derby County, while Queens Park Rangers also emerged as a shock destination for the Scotland international. Ian Holloway is a big fan of McCormack and he has spoken about adding another striker to his squad this month. A surprise move to Loftus Road would see McCormack return to London.
Fulham were also interested in re-signing McCormack, but the Fulham players told Slavisa Jokanovic that they did not want him back at the club.
