The player is now thought to be on his way to Villa to have a medical despite being linked with West Ham for the majority of the January transfer window.

A deal to bring to Hogan to Villa Park is likely to cost around £15 million and could also result in Ross McCormack finally leaving the club, the Scottish striker has constantly been linked with moves away from Villa during this window.

West Ham ended their interest on deadline day when it was reported that Slaven Bilic did not agree with his board in their hopes of bringing the player to the London Stadium.

A deal for Hogan is also likely to see Villa end their interest in Middlesbrough striker, Jordan Rhodes.
