According to a report in The Telegraph, former Chelsea legend John Terry will be confirmed as an Aston Villa player at some stage on Monday.
The ex-England international has agree a one-year deal at Villa Park, after having declined at least 10 other offers. This included offers from the likes of Galatasaray, Swansea, and West Bromich Albion.
It is understood that he will receive £60,000 a week, and additional bonuses will take his yearly wage to around £4 million. It has been reported that he will get a hefty bonus if he helps Villa earn promotion.
Terry played at Stamford Bridge for over two decades, and it is believed that one of the reasons he decided not to join a Premier League club is that he is reluctant to play against Chelsea.
The Villa squad flew out to Portugal on Saturday for a pre-season training camp and it is believed that Terry will fly out to join them in the next day or two.
