According to the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa want to sign Tammy Abraham from Chelsea on a season-long loan.
Villa currently have four strikers out injured, so Bruce is desperately trying to bring in some cover before their opening game of the season against Hull on Monday evening.
However, it is understood that the 20-year-old would prefer a move to another Premier League side, so Bruce is still looking around for other suitable options, such as West Ham’s Jordan Hugill.
With this being said, the young striker struggled in the Premier League last season with Swansea – scoring 5 goals in 31 appearances – so there might not be many Premier League clubs interested in acquiring his services.
He has proven himself at Championship level though as he scored 23 goals for Bristol City in the 2016/17 season.
Abraham will leave Chelsea on loan before the transfer window slams shut on the 9th of August, but where he will end up is not clear yet.
