According to a report in the Daily Mail, Jack Grealish has told his Villa teammates that he has his heart set on a move to White Hart Lane this summer.
Spurs, as they always do, had hoped to take advantage of Villa’s financial worries to sign Grealish for a fraction of his true worth, but thanks to their new takeover, Villa now have financial security and do not need to sell their star player.
Despite this, Spurs are still trying to buy the talented youngster for £20 million, but Villa, rightfully so, are holding out for at least another £15 million. Even if they were to spend £35 million on him, it would still, in today’s crazy transfer market world, be a very good deal for Spurs, but Levy is known for being extremely cheap.
Although Grealish would seemingly like to move to London, with every passing day, it’s looking more and more likely that he will have at least one more season at Villa Park.
