According to a report published by Football Insider, West Brom are interested in signing Ritchie De Laet from arch rivals Aston Villa.
It is believed that Darren Moore would like to add another right-back to his squad before the loan window slams shut at the end of the month, and he sees the Belgian as the perfect candidate.
The 29-year-old, who has been capped twice by Belgium, has only made one appearance for Villa so far this season, so it is safe to say that Bruce doesn’t rate him very highly.
De Laet joined Villa back in 2016, but, due to a serious knee injury and poor form, he has only played 13 times for the club. He was sent out on loan to Antwerp for the second-half of last season, where he made 8 appearances.
Bruce currently has plenty of options at right-back, so he could be willing to let De Laet leave on loan, but the Baggies could face stiff competition from Gent, who are also interested in acquiring his services.
