‘McGinn will be a Premier League player next season’

Former Scotland international Michael Stewart believes that Aston Villa’s John McGinn will be playing Premier League football next season, whether it be with Villa or elsewhere, Inside Futbol report.

McGinn had been widely linked with a move to Scottish giants Celtic this summer but instead opted to seal a move from Hibernian to Chanpionship side Aston Villa.

McGinn has already received high praise from fans and pundits alike for his performances this season in a Villa shirt and former Scotland midfielder Stewart believes this season will be his only one in the second tier of English football.

Stewart said on BT Sport:

He’ll be in the Premier League next year, either with Villa going up or somebody will buy him.

McGinn has so far made eight appearances in the Championship for Aston Villa, scoring one goal and providing two assists for his team-mates.

The 23-year-old’s contract at Villa Park runs until the summer of 2022.
