According to reports by Radio Galega (via Eldesmarque), Aston Villa will complete the signing of Nemanja Radoja when the January transfer window opens on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old defensive midfielder joined Celta Vigo in 2014 and he has since gone on to make just under 150 appearances for the La Liga club. However, he hasn’t made one appearance so far this season. The Serb has also been capped two times by his country
Villa’s defence has been quite leaky this campaign, having conceded 34 goals in 24 matches. Therefore, Smith will be hoping that Radoja will be able to provide Villa’s defence with some much needed support.
It is believed that he will cost just 2.5 to 3 million as his contract runs out next summer.
If this deal goes through as expected, it could pave the way for Mile Jedinak to move back to his native Australia.
