According to a report in France Football, Aston Villa are still interested in signing Harold Moukoudi from Le Havre.
Villa had originally tried to sign the colossal 21-year-old centre-back in the summer, but the deal fell through in the end and he remained in Ligue 2.
However, he is out of contract in the summer and it is very unlikely that he will want to prolong his stay at the club. Therefore, since Le Havre will not want to lose his services for free, it is highly likely that he will leave the club at some stage this month.
Dean Smith desperately needs to strengthen his defense as his side are conceding too many goals, and the 6ft 3in frame of Moukoudi would definitely help his cause.
However, the youngster is one of the most sought-after players in France at the moment, so Villa will undoubtedly face stiff competition for his services.
