Aaron Ramsey posts picture with girlfriend as brother plays in Newcastle victory

Aaron Ramsey posted a picture on his Instagram story with girlfriend Sian while big brother Jacob played a full 90 minutes in midfield alongside Douglas Luiz and John McGinn in Aston Villa 2-0 win over Newcastle United.

Aaron has made 23 appearances for Villa U18s, scoring nine goals with five assists. The 18-year-old has made 24 appearances for the U23s, scoring 12 goals with six assists. Ramsey has represented England at U16, U17 and U18 level too, so his future looks bright.

This season, he’s scored two goals and made two assists in two Premier League 2 appearances, so the attacking-midfielder is doing everything in his power to impress Dean Smith.

Villa line up without an attacking-midfielder and instead have three players in the engine room to break up the opposition attacks and create their own, so Aaron has a lot of players to edge out if he’s to get minutes at senior level – Jacob, John McGinn, Douglas Luiz, Morgan Sanson, Conor Hourihane, Marvelous Nakamba etc.

But he’s playing well in the reserves so far this season and seems happy if his recent social media antics are anything to go by.
